******* UPDATE *******

I am pleased to let you know that we have managed to secure enough vaccine to offer appointments to our patients who are over the age of 70 years and those regarded as clinically at risk.

We will be holding clinics over the next few days so you should be receiving a telephone call to book an appointment. This means our teams will be making over 500 telephone calls to make appointments so thank you for your continued patience at this very busy time.

***Coronavirus Vaccine update***

As I am sure you will appreciate, we are working hard to ensure that all of our patients in the priority groups are offered an appointment to have the Coronavirus Vaccine.

To date we have been working through the eligible cohorts in turn and have held several clinics, two of which have been whole days.

The Government have announced that all patients in groups 1 to 4 will be vaccinated or offered an appointment by the 15th February. We know that we still need to vaccinate some patients in those groups, particularly the over 70 age group and those deemed clinically at risk. We are allocated the vaccine on a week by week basis so please rest assured that we will be calling you the moment that we are told that vaccine is being delivered to us.

We appreciate that everyone is very keen to get the vaccine and we are ready and prepared to call you to invite you to make an appointment just as soon as we know that we have supplies.

Our telephone lines are extremely busy with enquiries about this which may prevent patients with a medical emergency reaching us. Please wait to be called.

With very best wishes

Pam Saltmer

Practice Manager

** Covid Vaccination Programme **

The Covid Vaccination programme has commenced and is a schedule of 2 vaccinations. Local practices are working together to provide this important vaccine to all eligible patients across Scarborough and Ryedale.

We are working under strict guidelines from NHS England regarding eligibility and the order of invitations. If you are eligible you will be contacted by the practice and should expect to book 2 appointments for your 2 doses. Please note the location of your appointment as this may not be your usual surgery.

Please be assured that you will be contacted as the vaccine becomes available to our patients.

These are challenging times and we thank you for remaining patient and respectful with our staff whilst they try to assist you.

Thank you

The surgeries are closed on Bank Holidays.

All surgeries are by appointment.

SATURDAY MORNINGS
We are able to offer a limited number of routine appointments on Saturday mornings. We are also able to see patients with urgent problems.

We prefer you to see your own Doctor if possible.  In such circumstances as emergencies or holidays there may not be a convenient appointment in which case another doctor will see you.

Surgery times may vary when doctors are on holiday.
